2020-02-19 - 2020-03-19 Total distance: 1395 km Cumulative distance: 18629 kmWe entered Thailand from Nong Khai, and cycled more or less along the Route 2 highway all the way to Ayutthaya, making small detours to see some interesting sights along the way. After visiting the famous temples of Ayutthaya, we made our way to Bangkok, where we interrupted our trip again for Heiko's visa appointment in Singapore. After returning back to Bangkok, we continued down the coast of southern Thailand, enjoying its many beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, after just a week in southern Thailand, we decided to end our trip abruptly due to the rapidly escalating COVID-19 pandemic.
